	1	Topology and Encoding In this module, we shall see the origin of computer networks, network topologies and encoding of bits into signals. We also discuss performance metrics in detail.
	2	Local Area Networking This module explores strategies for local area networking; a small network of nodes. Utilization of each strategy is analyzed in detail.
	3	Error Detection and Correction Various error detection schemes such as VRC, LRC, CRC and checksum are discussed in detail. Further, Hamming error code is also presented.
	4	Flow Control Schemes The focus of this lecture is to design schemes using which one can synchronize the fast sender and a slow receiver. Performance analysis of each scheme is also discussed in detail.
	5	IP, TCP and Beyond This module highlights forwarding, routing in IP based networks. Classful IP addressing schemes and subnetting are discussed in detail. Further, TCP and UDP are explored in great detail with mentions to specific application protocols.
