MaDeIT Innovation Foundation is a non-profit Section 8 company under the Companies Act, 2013. It is a design-driven Technology Business Incubator promoted by the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Kancheepuram, an institution of national importance fully funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. MaDeIT Innovation Foundation is supported by a grant from the Department of Science and Technology (NSTEDB Division), Govt. of India. MaDeIT intends build on IIITDM's core capability (IT enabled Design and Manufacturing) to encourage design-driven startups, largely in the manufacturing, healthcare and transportation sectors. It will support startups from IIITDM's students, faculty and the wider ecosystem

  Prof. R. Gnanamoorthy

  Prof. Gnanamoorthy is the Director of IIITDM Kancheepuram. He has 25+ years of experience in teaching and applied research in reputed Industry, research lab and academia in India and aboard. He has published more than 250 publications / 1000+ citations in quality journals and conference and carried out sponsored research and consultancy to renowned Industries. He has also designed and developed many sophisticated equipment / machineries and processes.

  Dr. Sudhir Varadarajan

  Dr. Varadarajan is the Dean (Design, Innovation & Incubation) at IIITDM Kancheepuram. He has 22+ years of experience in design & innovation management in the IT industry. He has strong expertise in management and IT consulting, and rich and varied experience in R&D, practice development, strategic marketing and consulting to Fortune 500 Clients. He is also the author of a book entitled “Managing Nothing: A narrative inquiry into innovation and leadership in the IT industry” (2015)
