The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram, Chennai is an autonomous institution under MHRD, Govt. of India. The Board of Governors are responsible for overall administration of the institute. The academic council (Senate) decides the academic policy of the institute. The courses, curriculum and evaluation strategy are decided by the Senate. The Finance Committee advises on all financial policy matters related to the institute while the building and works committee advises on matters relating to infrastructure development and estate activities
